Kelly Carothers

Kelly Sue Carothers (née Vichich) returned to her eternal home on October 3, 2026 at age 54. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandfather Wayne Shewell, her grandmother Pat Clyde (née Shanahan), and her dear friend Julie A. Meyer for whom she was a caregiver. She is survived by her mother Susan Gross (née Shewell), her father John Vichich, her husband of 31 years, Mark Carothers, her sisters Sarah Tyler (née Vichich), Abby Stawicki (née Vichich), Rikki Case (née Vichich), and her daughters Maisie Jean Carothers and Saoirse Kelly Carothers. 

Kelly was a devoted wife and mother, but also a caregiver, she helped countless families through their grief as their loved ones struggled with the same circumstances that she eventually had to face. She can rest in peace knowing through the life she lived she has brought love and joy into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her love for her friends and family, the outdoors, and animals, particularly robins. 

Visitation will be held Friday, October 16th from 4-6 PM at Schramka Funeral Home, 13220 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. Memorial Service to follow at 6 PM.
