Kenneth A. Liermann, age 68, of Lisbon, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026. He was born December 23, 1957, to Ferdinand and LaVerne (Schneider) Liermann. He, along with his younger sister Mary, moved a few times in Menomonee Falls in their youth with their parents.
Ken and Mary Jo (Bongard) started dating while attending James Madison High School, and on September 29, 1979, he married the love of his life. He was a third-generation employee of the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked for 35 years.
Family was always incredibly important to Ken. He supported his kids in their various endeavors and was there for every sporting event and pursuit. He adored his grandchildren; he loved being with them and attending their many activities.
Ken was a neat and orderly individual. He knew where everything went and kept everything organized and tidy. Notably, he diligently kept his numerous clocks wound and chiming accurately. He was generous with his own time, always willing to help out with any project, even if it was in another state.
He was fiercely competitive and always wanted to win, whether the game was basketball, bowling, 4-square, darts, billiards, cards, or a board game. He enjoyed watching sports and athletics, rooting for the Packers and Brewers. Robin Yount was a particular favorite. He loved music, especially Paul McCartney and the Beatles. He was also an avid Spider-Man fan. He enjoyed Snickers bars and M&Ms, and he was always willing to eat the black jelly beans, because he loved black licorice.
He is survived by his loving and adoring wife Mary Jo (Bongard) and beloved sister Mary (James) Albinger. He was a dependable and supportive father of his surviving children Catherine (Benjamin) Jaske, Margaret (Benjamin) Corcoran, and James (Tracy) and proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Garett and Nolan Jaske, Elizabeth Corcoran, and Mackenzie and Zachary Liermann. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 27 at 11 AM at Queen of Apostles Parish (N35W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee). Visitation begins at 10 AM and lasts until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Parkinson Association would be appreciated (13400 Bishops Lane Suite 120, Brookfield, WI 53005 or wiparkinson.org).
