Kenneth Pierce

Kenneth Clark "KC" Pierce of Mequon passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on Saturday October 13th 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born in Ellendale, North Dakota in 1931, where he worked the family farm and played baseball, football, and basketball. He developed a passion for woodworking and pursued a degree in Industrial Arts education. KC began his career in teaching in 1954 in Lake Park Minnesota, moving a few years later to Mequon to be one of the first group of teachers at Homestead High School, where he specialized in Drafting. He served as a Little League coach, was a founding member and first president of AIM, and an active member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church. After retiring in 1990, KC spent his time traveling, attending his grandchildrens' school and sporting events, and struggling to improve his golf game. He will be remembered for his mischievous dry wit and eagerness to help anyone in need. KC is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma, daughter Kary (Kevin), sons Michael (Laurie), Douglas (Nancy) and John (Jon), brother Keith and two sisters, Nona and Carolyn; eight grandchildren (Eric, Brian, Matt, Jen, Jeff, Kate, Nick and Alex) and four great grandchildren (Casey, Quinn, Ella and Micah). Services are scheduled for Friday October 19th 2018 at Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon, with a family reception at 2:00pm and memorial service starting at 3:00pm.
