Kent Kurth Krueger found peace on April 21st, 2023 at the age of 84. Kent was born on September 18th, 1938 son of the late Raymond J. and Evelyn E. (nee Kurth) Krueger.
Kent was a long-time resident of Wauwatosa, WI. He attended McKinley Elementary School and Longfellow Junior High School. During his teen years Kent was actively involved with Scouting and earned the high distinction of Eagle Scout. He was a 1956 graduate of Wauwatosa East High School. Kent graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Mechanical Engineering in 1960.
On November 5th, 1960 Kent married his High School sweetheart Barbara "Bonnie" (nee Amos). They had two children Linda and Kurt. They were married for 29 years until Bonnie's death in 1990. Kent married Mary Frankfurth on July 18th, 1993 and they were married for 28 years until her passing in 2022.
Kent was a lifelong member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. He was confirmed and married there. He had a strong faith and believed in serving within the church. He was active on the Church Council supporting the Worship and Music Committee. He sang in the church's choir for more than 50 years.
Kent worked as a Mechanical Engineer at The Falk Corporation for his entire working career. He started at Falk as a college intern and worked there until his retirement in 1998. During his years at Falk, Kent's work provided him the opportunity for numerous over-seas travels, which provided him with many fond experiences and memories.
Kent loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially relished time at the cabin on the Wisconsin River. Kent enjoyed working around the house taking care of various projects and attending the activities of his children throughout their lives. His favorite season was fall as he was an avid duck hunter. Kent was a big supporter of Badger sports as well as a devoted Brewer and Packer fan. He enjoyed a good game of Cribbage, Pinochle or Sheepshead along with pretzels and an ice-cold Budweiser. Kent always had a positive attitude, was very supportive, a great role model, had a smile on his face and a quick witty comment to share.
Kent is survived by his two children Linda (Karl) Wunderlich and Kurt (Kelly) Krueger. Grandpa to Matthew Wunderlich, Sarah (Matthew) Mischo, Alyssa Krueger and Keaton Krueger. Great-grandpa to Noah Mischo. Stepfather to Martha Palm, Sarah (Paul) Frankfurth-Narvaez and Emily (Darron) May. He is further survived by step-grandchildren Tallulah and Teague Narvaez, Luca and Simon Chirco and Lewis, Warren and Silvia May.
Kent's family would like to thank the staffs of Brighton Hospice; especially nurse Amanda Martin, and Dickson Hollow Assisted Living, for all of their care and support.
Visitation Friday, May 12th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, 1615 N. Wauwatosa Ave., Wauwatosa, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Private burial at Wauwatosa Cemetery.
