Laverne Hinz

December 28, 1925 — March 8, 2025

LaVerne E. Hinz (nee DeBruine), passed away March 8, 2025, age 99 years. Loving mother of Elizabeth (Rick) Kielley, Kristine Hinz, Son-in-law Mike (Lori) Graff. Also survived by 5 grandchildren; Sharyl (Keith) Lasanske, Michael (Donna) Kielley, Clinton (Amber) Hinz, Casey (Romina) Graff, Rachel (Tim) Sitzman. Great-grandchildren; Troy Lasanske, Nathan (Kayla) Lasanske, Mariya Lasanske, Delaina (Caleb) Bierdemann, Thomas, Wesley, Gabriel Sitzman, Eli, Ivory Hinz. Great-great-grandchildren; Malaya and Maverick. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Charles, daughter Barbara Graff, sister, Ruth Perling. Following retirement LaVerne and Charles moved to Mission, TX where they lived for 24 years. She enjoyed reading and attending her book club, also traveling, knitting and spending time with friends and family. She moved back to Wisconsin after the passing of her husband to be closer to family. Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, March 22. Visitation 10 – 11 am. Service to follow at 11 am at Schramka Funeral Home, 13220 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005. Private Interment Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorials to Lutherans for Life or Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Tuition Assistance. Thank you to the staff at the Gardens of Hartford, and Linden Court Waukesha for their care. We also want to thank Horizons Hospice Care at Hartford and Waukesha for their support and care.
