Lavon Meils-Feurt

LaVon Meils-Feurt passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born on June 15, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Alvin and Ruby Nelson. LaVon spent most of her professional life as an administrative assistant for various companies. She concluded her career as an admissions assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, a role she found especially meaningful. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Feurt, and her sister, Colleen Winkler. LaVon is survived by her three sons and their spouses: Eric L. Meils and his late wife, Dr. Carrol Meils; Daniel E. Meils and his wife Dr. Elaine A. Meils; and Timothy A. Meils and his wife Jane R. Meils. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Eric Meils Jr. and his partner Ben, Stephen Meils, and Samuel Meils and his wife Colleen. Her great-grandchildren are Stanlee, Cami, Molly, and Owen. A private service will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. The date has not yet been determined.
