Leila Chambers

Born to Life on May 20 1949, and Born to Eternal Life October 3, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin, sister Linda Nelson, and parents, Gilbert and Annabelle Nelson. She is survived by her son Benjamin, daughter Elyse, sister, Lani (Howard) Beuerman, nephew, Eric Beuerman, nieces Lisa (Bill) Campbell and Lori (Oscar) Aguirre and their children. Leila graduated from the University of Minneapolis. She was trained as an occupational therapist and worked in the medical field for forty years. Leila was musically talented, playing both piano and organ and had a lovely soprano voice. She was gifted with organizational skills and served in numerous leadership capacities in all of the churches in which she was a member. Above all, Leila was a very caring and giving person who deeply loved her Lord and Savior and her family. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 11th, 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
