Leila Mae Rechcygl
Heaven gained a beautiful soul on December 2, 2021 when Leila was reunited with her beloved husband George C. Rechcygl (1925-1982). Born May 16, 1927 to Arthur Otto Feilbach and Anna (Wagner) Feilbach in Milwaukee, the youngest of three, with sister Grace (Milo) Templeton and brother Harvey (Myrtle) Feilbach predeceasing her. George and Leila were married on May 17, 1947 after he returned from serving with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific in WWII.
Survived by her loving children: Gary (Susan) Rechcygl, Dennis (Pat LaBreque) Rechcygl, Judi (Steve) Forbes, Dale (Fran) Rechcygl, and Scott (Colleen) Rechcygl. Further survived by adoring grandchildren: Dr. Chad (Victoria) Rechcygl, Mandy, Suzanne and George (Kathan) Rechcygl, Shane (Niki) Forbes, Kelly (Josh) Ward, Angela Forbes, Sarah (Steven) Tetzner, Andrew Rechcygl, Austin (Laura) Rechcygl, Joseph (Kelly) Rechcygl, and Zachary (Kendra) Rechcygl. Also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
Leila was a lifelong meticulous bookkeeper for North Shore Electric, Orthopedic Concepts, and Choice Cuts Tree Service. Her Green Lake cottage was the center for many family gatherings and vacations, with Leila the perfect hostess. All of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many others were beneficiaries of her beautiful hand-knit sweaters.
Private family service will be held at the funeral home on December 17th, with a celebration of Leila's life to be held next summer.
