Leone Cook

Cook, Leone Bernice (nee Skahill) of Menomonee Falls passed away on October 5, 2014 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband LaVerne Francis Cook, her two brothers Howard and Ralph Skahill, and her sister Irene Jones. Dear mother of Linda (Paul) Heywood of Westport, MA, Mary (Patrick) McKeown of Mequon, WI, Susan Cook of Menomonee Falls, WI, John (Karen) Cook of La Mesa, CA, and Patricia Cook of Cambria, WI. Grandmother of Sarah (Robert) Whitfield, Emma Heywood, Amanda, Jonathan and Lauren McKeown, Sean (Laura), Nicholas, and Kathryn Cook. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Leone was born on November 17, 1922 to Frank and Francis Skahill and grew up on their farm in Peosta, IA. After marrying LaVerne in 1951, they moved to Wisconsin and were long term residents of Menomonee Falls where they raised their five children. Leone was a homemaker while LaVerne was a civil engineer for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Leone's family is very grateful for the care she received at Meadowmere Northshore Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 10, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, N89 W16297 Cleveland Ave., Menomonee Falls, Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, at the FUNERAL HOME, from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM.
