Passed on January 10, 2016. He was born January 17, 1932 in Escanaba, Michigan. He is survived by 3 sisters, Vivian (Fish), Joyce (Thorsen) and Janet (Rasmussen), and 3 brothers, Jerry, Harvey and Glen. His wife Yvonne passed away on January 26, 2006; they had been married for over 51 years. Together, they had 7 wonderful children, each with a unique personality, each reflecting back the best parts of their parents, each carrying on a legacy of unconditional love and acceptance. Lloyd was known as a likeable individual with a great sense of humor. He was a dedicated member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as Post Commander of the Horne-Mudlitz, VFW Post 6377, Sussex, Wisconsin. He was also a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church in Sussex. Surviving are his children: Marcia Gonzales, and her husband Lawrence; Patricia Bishop, and her late husband Dale; Lloyd Joseph Olson, and his wife Janine; David Olson; Theresa Patten, and her husband Todd; Kathleen Olson; Mary Schafer, and her husband Stephen. Lloyd is survived and lovingly remembered by 23 wonderful grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many, many caring relatives and loving friends. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, January 14 at 7 PM. Visitation from 3:30 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Gloria Dei Lutheran Senior Center (W180 N7863 Town Hall Road, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051) appreciated.
