Lloyd E 'Pete' Peterson, Age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 17. Born in Chicago IL, Pete grew up in St. Paul, MN. He served in WWII (Army) & was stationed in Japan following their surrender. Pete then moved to Milwaukee in the 50's to teach & coach at Custer high school, retiring after 30 plus years. In retirement, he worked at County Stadium for the Brewers in the clubhouse & at the press gate. Pete's passion for sports started as a youth in St. Paul which led to a lifelong devotion to coaching all levels of sports & cheering on his favorite teams, the Vikings, Gophers, Twins, & Brewers. His other hobbies included stamp collecting, fishing, & collecting hundreds of thousands of pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House. Pete was a devoted husband, proud parent & loving grandpa. Survived by wife Mary; his sister Betty (CA); brother Fred (Beverly) (MN); daughters Linda (Gregg) Johnson & Laurie (Chuck) Price; sons Brian & Terry (Therese); grandkids Isabel, Evan, Charlie & Grace, & many family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Loo & Caroline. Memorials preferred to Queen of Apostles Church in Pewaukee or Dementia Society of America. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday December 21 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until time of Service. Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
