Loreen J. Marcy
September 15, 1941, Born to Life
May 9, 2026, Born to Eternal Life
Loreen was welcomed to heaven with joy and open arms by her parents, Joseph & Dorothy (Czarnecki) Fratrick and her beautiful, beloved daughter, Lynn Wroblewski, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. She was loved by all who knew her in life, most especially her husband and soul-mate, Ray Marcy, her beloved son, Michael and his wife, Christine Wroblewski, her son-in-law, Steve Klimczak, and her grandchildren Gabrielle (Joel Villarreal), Grace, and Helena Wroblewski, and Clara Klimczak who were the lights of her life. She will be greatly missed by her brother, Ron (Lois) Fratrick and her sister, and best friend, Jan (Ken) Eschrich, as well as all her nieces, nephews, and countless other family and friends, including Solange (Soso) Nkubito and Denyse Irankunda whom she loved dearly.
Loreen lived life to the fullest. She was a member of the 2nd graduating class of Nicolet High School, where she was one of the few if not the only girl to drive a suped-up car, courtesy of her brother. After graduating from Marquette University in Business where she also played trombone in the band, she proudly treated her mom to a European vacation together, soon got married, and had two beautiful children, Mike and Lynn. She worked for several years at Manpower Corporate in Milwaukee, where she would eventually meet Ray and ultimately marry him. She loved to golf, ski, and hike, spending countless hours together in Colorado which they both loved. One of her passions was exploring the world with Ray, and together they traveled extensively to every corner of the world, sometimes with her sister Jan and her husband, Ken. Loreen enjoyed the “girls trips” with her sister, nieces, her daughter, Lynn and daughter-in-law, Chris.
Family meant everything to her, and a great joy in life was showing granddaughters, Gabrielle, Grace, and Helena the world with Mike and Chris in tow, together visiting 14 countries across the globe. Wherever they traveled, her kindness towards everyone and her smile won the hearts of all she met. From hiking in Nepal during a snowstorm, to trekking to see mountain gorillas, to taking a shower in an Antarctic waterfall, Loreen was always ready for adventure. In later years Florida became the place where she could enjoy special time with her granddaughter, Clara and her son-in-law, Steve, and with whom she created countless memories, and even the occasional TikTok.
One of Loreen’s greatest qualities was in helping others and making them feel heard and loved. To her, love was unconditional, and she always knew just the right thing to say to bring a smile, to comfort, or show support. Loreen was always thoughtful and kind to everyone and was a true role model to her granddaughters who love her dearly and helped shape their worldview. A true calling and passion was in her work with AA, where for 35 years she helped hundreds of women with their addiction/disease, many of whom she would also call friend. Throughout life’s hardships such as the loss of her daughter to cancer, and her own various health challenges, she never gave up, never lost her love for life, her beautiful smile, or her kindness. Loreen truly touched the lives of all she met. Her laughter and love will be forever missed, especially by her family who loves her so dearly.
