Lorna Backes

Backes, Lorna M. (Nee Nast) Born to Eternal Life on February 28, 2018 at the age of 95 years. Preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Backes and her son Robert D. Backes. Loving mom of Dennis Backes, Diana (Jack) Van Heesch, Gary (Fran) Backes, Holly (Mike) Kuester and Bill (Ilene) Backes. Further survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, her siblings; Joan (Rich) Hass, Jerome (Donna) Backes and Judy Huffman, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorna was a long time member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and a long time volunteer at Lasata Senior Living Campus. She was also a Schoenstatt member. The love of family was very important to her. Lorna loved making people happy and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Visitation Wednesday, March 7 at Lumen Christi Parish, 2750 W. Mequon Rd, Mequon from 10 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Procession to Resurrection Cemetery to follow. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
