Lorna M. Harmsen, age 85, of Mequon, passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her family and dear friends on July 13, 2023. She was born July 17, 1937 in Marinette to the late Edward and the late Frieda Roeder. Lorna was a retired Homestead High School math teacher. She volunteered at the food pantry at Family Sharing of Ozaukee County for 20 years following her retirement from teaching. She touched countless lives through her career and her involvement in the community and enjoyed many close relationships with her family and dear friends.
Survivors include son Scott (Tammy) Harmsen of Naples, FL and daughter, Brenda (Christopher) Behlmer of Menomonee Falls; grandchildren Jenna (Karl) Yentz, Alyssa Harmsen, and Jacob (Ellsbeth Schmactenberger) Harmsen; great-grandchildren Rose Yentz and Bodie Yentz. Lorna was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, David Harmsen. Also preceded in death by her brother, Edward (Kathy) Roeder of Marinette. Further survived by many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

All are welcome to join us for a Celebration of Lorna's life at The Watermark at Shully's Cuisine (146 Green Bay Road, Thiensville WI 53092) on Saturday, September 9. On-site visitation at 10:00-11:30 a.m. Celebration Service at 11:30 a.m. with luncheon following service. Officiated by Pastor Susan Bratt from Crossroads Presbyterian Church.
