Louise Alice Poznanski (nee Kennedy) Born May 23, 1947, passed away January 9, 2023 at the age of 75. Preceded in death by her parents Chester and Madeline Kennedy, brother Jim Kennedy, and husband James Poznanski, who was a Milwaukee Police Officer. Louise will be missed by her dear friends Patricia Gumz and Charlyn Pozza. Louise graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1969 with a degree in Special Education. She then attended UW Milwaukee where she received a Certification in Special Education Supervision. Louise retired from MPS in 2002 after 32 years. She was a very dedicated and hard worker on behalf of special education children. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25 from 10-11:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish (1755 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield). Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation (234 W. Galena Street, Milwaukee, WI 53212) are appreciated.
