Lucille J. Wagner

October 29, 1935 — May 10, 2026

(nee Pruss) Passed away May 10, 2026 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Wayne. Loving mother of Kara Wagner, Warren Wagner, Laura (the late Jeff) Van Alstine and Linda (Paul) Gogan. Proud grandma of Annika (Andrew Ramirez) Gogan, Sonia Gogan and Nicholas Gogan. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Lucy grew up in Pickett, Wisconsin where she had fond memories of attending a one-room schoolhouse. Despite being the daughter of a dairy farmer and growing up on a farm, she disliked milk. At 18, Lucy left the farm to come to the big city of Milwaukee where she attended beauty school and met Wayne bowling.

In 1961 she married Wayne, the love of her life. They raised four children and lovingly stayed home to tend to their children and gardens. Throughout the years, Lucy enjoyed many hobbies which included painting, looming, and crocheting. She also loved working crossword, word search and sudoku puzzles.

After the kids grew up Lucy returned to the workforce to support her family, working various jobs for the West Allis – West Milwaukee School District. She could be found riding her bicycle to and from her job even in winter.

After retirement, Lucy and Wayne enjoyed traveling together. Their adventures included Hawaii, two trips to Alaska, and several memorable trips throughout Europe.

Lucy and Wayne were married for 65 wonderful years. They were never apart for more than a few days throughout those years. They were always seen walking hand in hand, all the way to the end. Their beautiful love story has ended here on earth and now continues together in heaven.

There will be a private family burial service at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
