Margaret Kazmierczak

(nee Schaefer) Passed to eternal life on January 12, 2016. Born on February 15, 1939. Graduate of Messmer High School, obtained her Bachelor's Degree degree in Music from Alverno College, as well as her Master's Degree in Music from the University of Iowa. In community with the School Sisters of St. Francis, and taught music throughout most of her lifetime. Employed as a secretary for Milwaukee County, and became a self-taught nurse who cared for the needs of her husband, Dan. An avid photographer, Margaret thoroughly enjoyed retired life in the north woods and on Silver Lake in Laona, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Daniel Kazmierczak, one sister, Anna'Lee Hauser, one brother, Joseph (Joan) Schaefer, one sister-in-law, Joyce Schaefer and one brother-in-law, Joseph (Helen) Hauser. Survived by her brother Thomas (Geri) Schaefer, her brother Leander (Barbara) Schaefer, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Lumen Christi Church – Mequon Campus, 2700 W. Mequon Road, Mequon, WI, 53092. Visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the Liturgy of Life and Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. A lunch reception will follow in St. James Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Disabled American Veterans (P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301) in Margaret's name would be appreciated.
