Margret Schwab

July 19, 1956 — April 16, 2017

Margret Schwab, known to family and friends as Maggie, passed away on April 16th, 2017 at the age of 60. She was born in Tuendern, Germany and shortly after moved to Hameln, Germany. She spent her childhood in Hameln which is where she met her husband Siggy. They were childhood friends that married at the age of 20 and moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1977. In Milwaukee she worked as a bookkeeper at a couple of local businesses, before establishing her own business in the telecommunications field. She started selling long distance calling cards, then prepaid phone cards, before transitioning to the cellular industry. She was a well respected and trusted businesswoman in the greater Milwaukee area. Everyone in the cellular industry knew of Maggie, and just saying the word "Maggie" brought a smile to their face and they knew it was also synonymous with excellent customer service, trust and integrity. Maggie will be best remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends. One of her favorite things was being on the water on her boat, soaking up the sun, and entertaining loved ones. She relished having the boat as her "waterfront condo". She enjoyed taking the boat up the Milwaukee river or driving out into the lake, sitting on the bow feeling the breeze. Another one of her favorite things was to listen to live music and dancing. Margret is survived by her husband of 40 years Siegfried "Siggy" Schwab, son Carsten (Emily), daughter Brittany (Ryan), and 3 grandchildren Olivia, Noah, and Jonah. A Celebration of Maggie's life will be held 3-5 pm, on Friday April 21st, at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005 with memorial service starting at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northbrook Church, 4014 WI-167, Richfield, WI 53076, are appreciated. A special thank you to Maggie's Oncologist Dr. Abhay Jella, Nurse Practitioner Shaunta Ford-Pierce and their nursing staff, as well as the staff at Zilber Hospice care for their efforts and loving care.
