Maria Tully

Maria Isabel Delgado Tully passed away on November 8, 2023, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 16, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents Tony Delgado and Adelina Cruz Gatewood, Maria was an unwavering source of strength and compassion. Maria was a proud graduate of Marquette University where she met her husband of 55 years, Andrew Tully.  Her 20+ year career at WITI TV6, began with a position as local sales representative and advanced to Station Manager.  Later, as the Director of Local Programming at Time Warner Cable, she launched Wisconsin On Demand, TWC Sports Channel, Kidz Biz and other award-winning programming. In addition to her professional achievements, Maria was a founding board member of the Sojourner Family Peace Center. Her dedication to this cause, along with her active involvement in the Penfield Children's Center and League of Women Voters, underscored her commitment to social justice and community development. Maria was a devoted wife to Andy and a loving mother to her three children, Aileen Marie Tully Bost (Harold), Margaret Michele Arney (Michael), and Madelaine Therese Tully (Eric Theler). Her love extended to her siblings, Madelaine Constance Delgado and Anthony John Delgado, Jr. (deceased) and her nephew, Louis Massey. As a grandmother, Maria cherished moments with her grandchildren, Michael, Jeremy, Jasmine, Antonia, Freya and Andrew. Her family was a source of immense joy and pride, and she was a beacon of love and guidance to them all. A private service of burial was held on November 11, 2023. A Celebration of Life is being planned for February 10, 2024. In lieu of flowers please donate to Sojourner Family Peace Center or League of Women Voters.
