Mario Taylor

July 6, 1995 — June 6, 2025

Mario Andrés Taylor, Born July 6, 1995, Adopted June 9, 2000, Died June 6, 2025 Mario Andrés' life has been a journey that started in Guatemala. He didn't receive enough care during the first three years of his life and was placed in an orphanage in Guatemala City. He was adopted at age five by his parents and brought to his new home in Glendale that he shared with Alejandro (and Olivia, three years later). Within days, Andrés showed he was active and athletic with impressive soccer moves and true finesse on a bicycle. He also showed a perceptive eye for detail and a keen interest in art. As a child, this was expressed through drawing; as an adult, through photography. He loved being outside for any reason; shoveling snow or mowing the lawn were a pleasure, not a chore. He was happiest when he felt the wind on his face playing outside, or hiking and biking among trees, flowers, mountains, high desert, rivers, and lakes. Most important, Mario Andrés was a very kind person; he always felt fulfilled when he could make someone else happy. Because of this, he loved the full-time job he had for the last two years, working at the St. Francis Convent of the Sisters of St. Francis on S. Lake Drive. The sisters and co-workers loved his positive energy and dedicated work ethic. Andrés loved his family very much and was proud of many family traditions and values. His grandparents had a special place in his heart. Mario Andrés is survived by his parents, Michael Taylor and Ann Setterlun, brother Henry Alejandro, sister Justina Olivia, nephew Jeremy, grandmothers Carole and Judy, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and his longtime girlfriend Monique. Memorial services will take place at the St. Francis Convent, 3221 S. Lake Dr., St. Francis WI 53235, on Thursday, June 19, 2025. There will be a Celebration of Life with prayers and remembrances beginning at 2:00pm, followed by Mass and then a reception. If desired, donations may be made to: Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi (link: https://www.lakeosfs.org/donate ) Milwaukee Parks Foundation (link: https://mkeparksfoundation.org/donate/ ).
