Mark J. Peplin
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Mark James Peplin. He passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, April 3rd at the age of 74.
Mark was born on June 10th, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mark served in the Vietnam war with honors aboard the U.S.S. McKean from 1968-1970.
Mark worked at American Can Company and Strohwig Tool and die as head of Maintenance.
He was an expert outdoorsman, excelling in fishing, hunting, boating, trap shooting. Mark made award winning fishing lures (tying flies, making jigs).
Mark was inducted into the National Vocational Technical Honor Society for industrial maintenance in 1990 and completed his degree with a 4.0 grade point average.
Mark had a great sense of humor and was a fantastic joke/storyteller.
Mark worked on the crew for Biertzer Race Team and was a Golden Gloves boxer.
Mark was preceded in death by daughter Kelly; brother Kurt; parents Harry and Leone (Nee Regner) Peplin. Survived by wife Karen; son Stephen (Emily) Peplin; sister Elizabeth "Betsy" (Jerry) Lushine, sister-in-law Rosanne Peplin; nieces Stacy Packard (Peplin), Amy Peplin Nolan; nephews Joseph Lushine, Evan Peplin, niece-in-law Peggy Lushine, nephew-in-law Brian Nolan, Cousin Scott Regner, Peggy Forrest, Rob Eckenrod, SueAnn Semmelmann; other family and friends, Louie (Skeets) Edwards, Bernie and Kay Propodnik.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Funeral Home from 10:00AM until the 12:00PM Funeral Service and Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of the families choice.
