Mark Ryan Pitterle was born to eternal life on June 21, 2021 at the age of 62 after a brief but well fought battle with lung cancer.
Mark was born April 24, 1959 at Mercy hospital in Milwaukee. He grew up with his five brothers in their house on Garfield in Wauwatosa. He attended St. Mary's in Elm Grove for grade school and Wauwatosa West for high school. He later went back to school and earned an Associate degree in Electronic Technology from MATC in 1997.
Mark's love of woodworking started at a young age, as well as his love for repairing things. He carried that with him through his entire life, which earned him the badge of being the go-to guy if something needed to be fixed or built. He has a long, wonderful history of various woodworking projects under his belt and in many people's homes. He loved his garden and was always on the hunt for the biggest tomato and the most fragrant roses. The pond that he built in his backyard was something he enjoyed in the summers, where he could sit and listen to the water while he drank an ice-cold Miller Genuine Draft and smell his roses on the breeze. When he wasn't working in his yard or spending time with his family, you could find him working on various handyman projects of which he always had plenty of ideas for.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Brianna (Dustin) Rozman and adored granddaughter Evelyn, dear mother Carol, and treasured brothers Tim (Cindy), Dan (Jill), and Jim (Beth).
He is preceded in death by his big brother Mike, his little brother Kevin, and his father James.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 29 at 4 PM at Schramka Funeral Home. Visitation from 2 PM until the time of service. For those who are familiar with Mark's penchant for flannel, the family asks that, if possible, you wear flannel in memory of him.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorials to The Lung Cancer Foundation of America are appreciated.
