Martha Samolyk

(nee Woyach) Born to Eternal life June 27, 2023 age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Richard L. Samolyk, married September 30, 1950. Dear mother of David, and the late Richard G. Samolyk. Martha had many clerical jobs as a young lady in Milwaukee area business. She left the workforce as her dream of being a mother came true in Spring of 1960 with the arrival of David in their lives. Three years later her family grew with the arrival of her second son, Rick. Martha had a strong Catholic faith and enjoyed serving her parish in many roles. She considered her friends at church her second family. For many years, Martha was active in the Catholic War Veteran's Ladies Auxiliary including holding the role of President of the local group. Martha was a strong and loving caregiver for family members and friends, making sure all their needs were met before her own. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard L. Samolyk, her son, Richard "Rick" G. Samolyk, her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by David (Lori) and step-granddaughter Sara Bernhagen, and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank John, Mary Anne and Sam Alioto for their devoted caring love and support of Martha over the years, our angels that allowed David and Lori to sleep at night. Thanks to Barbara Rausch and John Rieger for the many hours you shared lighting up Martha's world. And a thank you to Tallamore Senior Living staff for giving Martha the quality of life and socialization she so enjoyed. Visitation Thursday, July 6, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Divine Providence Church, 2600 N. Bremen St., with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Lady of Divine Providence Parish would be appreciated.
