Mary was born to Lawrence and Alice Ubert on March 31, 1931. During the depression, her family moved to Alaska to homestead in Palmer, Alaska. Her brothers were born there and at the outbreak of WWII, they moved back to Milwaukee to be in a safer place. She graduated from Messmer High School. She met her first husband and moved to the Twin Cities to start her family. When she was 7 months pregnant with her 3rd child her first husband passed away. Once again she moved back to Milwaukee. She met her second husband and had her fourth child. Later in life she married her third husband until his passing. Throughout these years she enjoyed raising her children and was very active with the Catholic Church. She was a Girl Scout leader, a volleyball coach, and attended several church events. After her children were raised, she enjoyed square dancing, volleyball, and golf. No matter the weather; be it hot Summer or cold Winter, if you wanted to find her, just go to the 19th hole at Curry Park, her favorite golf course. She lived a full life surrounded by family and friends. She has 13 grandchildren and lots of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings and left behind 3 of her children as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Her smile was infectious and her laughter was contagious, she will be truly missed.
