Mary Trenkle

Mary Catherine (Halloran) Trenkle Born to Eternal Life November 26, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Simon Trenkle. Loving mother of Kathleen (Jim) Davis, Patrick (Linda) Trenkle, Colleen (Steve) Bartlein, Tim (Annette) Trenkle, Sarah (Jeff) Hartung. Cherished grandma of Jake (Meghan) Davis, Jon (Laura) Davis, Elizabeth (Jon) Kozak, Steven (Siri) Bartlein, J.J. Hartung, Katie Hartung, Gabrielle Ortiz, Skaidra Ortiz, Benito Ortiz, Max Trenkle, Christopher Stewart, Nikki Stewart. Great Grandma of Jace, (late Harper), Jovie, and Jemma Davis, Minka and Jett Davis, Drake and Sunniva Bartlein, Kiya Shipman and Avi'yana Warmington. Dear sister to the late Gerald (Lorraine), the late Robert (Florence) and the late John (Mildred) Halloran. Beloved Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. "Molly" - as she was affectionately known - was born in Derrynane Township, Minnesota to John and Mary Halloran. Mary moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in her younger years, graduated from Cedarburg High School, and has always enjoyed the annual Bulldog reunions with the "Class of 1952".  She married Simon Trenkle on June 7th, 1958 and they moved to Mequon, Wisconsin. Mary was a devoted mother of five children and in her words, raising her five children were "the best years of my life". Mary will be remembered by various accomplishments throughout her life. Mary was a skilled musician, in her early years she sang and played guitar with "Joe Shott and his Hot Shots" on WTMJ Radio. She participated in the Milwaukee Irish Fest Baking Contest for 25+ years and received many awards for her famous Irish Soda Bread. She also worked at the Mequon Police Department as an Administrative Assistant for 17 years. Mary will truly be missed by all of her family and friends. Mary will eternally be watching for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and looking for "lucky" 4 leaf clovers. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30th from 4-7 PM at Schramka Funeral Home, 423 N. Main St., Thiensville, then Friday, December 1st from 11 AM- 12 PM at Lumen Christi Parish, 2750 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM.
