Michelle Rehrauer

Jan 10, 1955 — Sep 12, 2026

Mequon

Michelle Ann Rehrauer passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at her home in Mequon, Wisconsin.

She was born on January 10, 1955, in Madison, Wisconsin, to George and Doree Armstrong. When Michelle was 10 years old, the family moved to New Berlin, Wisconsin, where she later graduated from New Berlin West High School in 1973.

Michelle devoted her life to caring for others. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee and later at Milwaukee Medical Clinic, where she met the love of her life, Luke Rehrauer. They married on August 2, 1986, and were blessed to share 40 years filled with love, laughter, and life together.

Michelle had a generous heart and a deep devotion to the people she cared for. She fiercely loved and protected her family, especially her only daughter, Amanda. She found joy in cooking for others and gathering friends and family around backyard barbecues, tending to her flowers, and traveling to Door County.

We take comfort in knowing that Michelle has now been reunited with all of her beloved pets on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge: her cat, Cinnamon, and her dogs, Cashmere, Penny, Bogart, Nikki, and Sophie.

She is survived by her husband, Luke Rehrauer; daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Dill; and granddaughter, Annalise Dill.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers for the family, please consider planting a tree, a bush, or flowers in your own garden in Michelle’s memory. You may also make a donation to the Wisconsin Humane Society, Family Sharing of Ozaukee County, Sojourner Family Peace Center, or Mariposa Learning Center.
