Gresbach, Norbert John, 89 years, passed away suddenly on April 20, 2015, one day before his 90th birthday, in Hartford, WI. He was born in Milwaukee, WI to William and Eleanor Gresbach on April 21, 1925. Norbert was the beloved husband and best friend to Shirley, who preceded him in death several years prior. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille D. Cherney (the late Benedict), and Margaret D. (Harold) Halberg, and brother Gerald (Ellen) Gresbach and their families. Norbert served in the US Marine Corps as Corporal in WWII, and was also a survivor of Pearl Harbor. Norbert embraced several occupations in his life, such as serving on the Milwaukee and Waukesha police force, was a private detective, established and managed his driving school, and practiced as a licensed barber with his brother for many years. He enjoyed sports (especially the Green Bay Packers), horse and dog racing, reading, nature, and traveling, most fondly his several faith filled pilgrimages to Medjugarie, Yugoslavia.
