Owen Briggs

October 3, 2007 — April 1, 2025

Owen Charles Briggs, a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 17. Born on October 3, 2007, in Menomonee Falls, WI. Owen was a joy to all who knew him. His friendly demeanor, thoughtful nature, and gentle spirit were the hallmarks of his character, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of many. Owen was the beloved son of John Briggs and Morgan (Steve) Raynier, and big brother of Grayson Briggs step-brother of Nolan Raynier. He was the treasured grandson of Deborah and Jerry Briggs, and Anne Rogalski and Charlie Nyman and the adored great-grandson of Jean Stone. His aunts and uncles, Angie & Joe Sadler, Jeralee Briggs & John Beven, Garrett & Jackie Nyman, and Greg & Michelle Raynier held him dear, as did his cousin Camryn Lasota, Graham, Hudson, and Finn Nyman; Rachel, Rebecca, Michael and Matthew Raynier. Owen's extended family and a wide circle of friends will forever remember his warm smile and kind-heartedness. As a high school junior, Owen had become dedicated to his studies, and enjoyed being in class with peers. Owen loved sports and his teammates. He exemplified the CHARGERS pillars. He was a trustworthy face on the football field, where he shared his passion for the game and his commitment to teamwork. His afternoons were often spent working out with teammates, building not just muscle but lifelong friendships. Owen also enjoyed playing pick-up basketball and other games with his neighbor buddies in Butler, where he was known for his competitive nature and infectious laugh. Owen's love for his family, friends, and household pets was evident in the way he cherished his time with them. Whether it was enjoying good food, sharing stories, or making memories, he was always at the heart of the gathering. His family's cabin in Cable, WI, and the serene Lake Owen, after which he was named, held a special place in his heart. These were his sanctuaries, where he found peace and happiness in nature's beauty. Owen's legacy is one of love, kindness, and the gentle strength that he brought to every encounter. He navigated life with a grace that belied his years, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Owen's spirit will continue to inspire those he left behind, reminding us to approach each day with the same compassion and enthusiasm that he did. As we bid farewell to Owen Charles Briggs, we celebrate the time we had with him and the countless ways he enriched our lives. His journey was a testament to the power of a kind heart and the enduring bonds of family and friendship. Owen's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories we share and the love we carry forward.
