Patricia Ottmann

April 14, 1952 — June 10, 2025

Patricia Ann (Trish, Pat) Ottmann passed away peacefully on the morning of June 10, 2025. She was born in Milwaukee in 1952 to Donald and Dorothy (Patterson) Turek. She was a 1970 graduate of John Marshall High School and in 1974 earned a teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In 1980 she earned a master's degree in education from Cardinal Stritch College. While at Whitewater she met her husband Ken Ottmann, they were married fifty years, and raised a daughter, Kristin. Trish was always active in Kristin's activities and served as a Girl Scout troop helper.  Over the years, Trish was a proud dog grandma to numerous Golden Retrievers and was also fondly known as "Grandma Trish" to Kristin's friend's children. Trish spent 35 years teaching elementary students at Milwaukee Public Schools, and enjoyed hanging out with the 37 th Street School gang (Terry, Cindy, Patti, and Kathy) and the Humboldt Park School group (Betty, Karen, and Kathy). Trish enjoyed the friendships from friends made at John Marshall and UW-Whitewater. She was loved by many friends on both sides of Lake Michigan, through her interest in the old railroad car ferries Spartan, Badger, City of Midland 41 and S.S. City of Milwaukee. Trish is survived by her husband Ken, daughter Kristin (the late Joe) Nesbit; brother Paul Turek and his girlfriend Chris O'Neil; nephew Jonathan (Mary) Turek, and son Wesley; Trish is further survived by numerous cousins on the Patterson and Ottmann sides.  She also treasured her relationship with Art, Faith, and Lydia Chavez. Trish was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Dorothy; nephew Joshua Turek; sister-in-law Joyce Turek; son-in-law Joe Nesbit. On Monday, June 16 th a Visitation will begin at 3pm.  Funeral Service at 4pm with a Celebration of Life and a light meal to follow. St. John's Lutheran Church 7877 N. Port Washington Rd. Glendale, WI 53217 As most of you know Trish suffered from Type 1 Diabetes since she was about 1 year old so In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to support Juvenile Diabetes Research can be made to the Medical College of Wisconsin, Attn: Office of Institutional Advancement, P.O.
