Paul Edwin Zak, 86, of Germantown, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 20, 1939, in Milwaukee, Paul graduated from Messmer High School before proudly serving in the United States Air Force, where he developed the technical skills that would lead to a distinguished 37-year career as a Technical Representative with Xerox.
Paul was married to the love of his life, Jerilyn Zak, for 38 wonderful years and faithfully honored her memory for the 20 years following her passing in 2006. He now rejoices in being reunited with her in Heaven with Jesus. Paul was a man devoted to his faith, his family, and his career—in that order. Known affectionately as Dad, Papa, Uncle Paul, PZ, and PEZ, he enjoyed fishing, spending winters on Marco Island, following baseball, football, basketball, and NASCAR, and, above all, attending the activities and events of his children and grandchildren. He loved country music, the American flag, and all that it represents.
Paul was preceded in death by his his beloved wife, Jerilyn; parents, Leo and Agnes Zak; his in-laws, Harold and Angie Schoemann; his brother, Alfred Zak, and sister-in-law, Margaret; his sister, Rita Rawson, and her husband, Robert. He is survived by his sons, Gregg (Denise), Kevin, and Scott (Angie), and by his cherished grandchildren, Jesse, Alex, and Will.
Paul will be deeply missed by countless family members, friends, neighbors, and colleagues whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to faith, family, and country; for the lifelong friendships he built through Germantown Little League and his years at Xerox; and for his generosity, humor, vibrant personality, and boundless energy that brought light to so many.
Visitation will be held at St. Boniface Church (W204N11940 Goldendale Rd, Germantown, WI 53022) from 9:00 - 11:00, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 and interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park to follow. Those who wish to honor Paul are encouraged to attend dressed comfortably in their favorite sports apparel—whether baseball, football, NASCAR, or any team they love, even those Chicago teams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to a charity supporting the rights of unborn children.
