Rae Mary Hoesli (Baumann, nee Cavanaugh), 81 of West Allis, quietly departed this life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in West Bend. Rae was born in Milwaukee on April 9, 1941, the second daughter of Raymond Cavanaugh and Dorothy Gerlach. Rae was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dorothy Cavanaugh, brother Michael, sister Patricia (Kiley), husband John Hoesli, and former husband Robert Baumann. Rae is survived by her children Jennifer (Daniel) Chamblee of Wayne, WI, Jeff (Carrie) Baumann of New Berlin, WI, and Julie (Chris) Dempsey of West Allis, WI, her sister Carol Rauen of Milwaukee, WI, her six grandchildren Amanda, Elizabeth, Jillian, Paige, Adam, and Tyler, and one great-grandson, Mason. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rae was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and devoted owner of many dogs over the years. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Schramka Funeral Home, 13220 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI. Memorials may be given to The Washington County Humane Society located in Slinger, Wisconsin. Rae's family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of The Waterford of West Bend's memory care and Preceptor Home Health Hospice caregivers who supported us and mom through her last years of life.
