In Loving Memory of Randy Rasch
On June 19, 2025, Randy Rasch of Mequon passed away peacefully at the age of 89, surrounded by his family.
Randy was a man of faith whose greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and cherished grandpa. He was married to his wife Dorothy for nearly 66 years and together they raised three loving daughters; Pam (Matt) Welter, Sue (Jim) Weiss, and Stephanie (Jeff) Reiner. That love later extended to his six grandchildren- Emily, Erika, Sam, Megan, Jacob, and Olivia—who were a source of immense pride.
With an unwavering work ethic, he took pride in his work, first as a produce manager and meat cutter and then as vice president of perishables at Roundy's, a job he held with dedication and pride for many years. Randy also proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In his free time, Randy found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a very competitive cribbage and sheepshead player, grocery bargain shopper, skilled napper, and lover of home baked cookies. Known for his humorous and wise "Randy-isms," he often shared sage advice such as, "Two words for a happy marriage? Yes, dear!"
He was preceded in death by parents and many friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, his daughters and their families, as well as his sister, Faye (Pat) Keefe of Pensacola, Florida.
He lived each day with gratitude and will be deeply missed. A celebration of Randy's life will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Lumen Christi Catholic Church in Mequon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Celebration at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service, and a private interment will take place with immediate family at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee in Randy's memory.
