Richard Retzer

Richard "Dick" Retzer Age 93- passed away peacefully in his sleep at Vista Pointe Assisted Living in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin on July 30, 2025. He is survived by sons Drew and Ross and numerous nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Kahn) Retzer, siblings Robert Retzer, Dorothy Wedemeyer, and Evelyn Morris and many other friends and relatives. Richard was born March 6,1932 to Henry and Mabel Retzer. He served in the Army in The Korean War. As a Milwaukee Police Sergeant he served loyally for decades. His dedication to Sherman Park Lutheran Church, including many Board memberships was appreciated. His life was service, to his family, church, city, and country. He will be dearly missed. Special thanks to the staff at Vista Pointe for their kind care. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, August 13 from 12-2 PM at Schramka Funeral Home,13220 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
