Richard Wahl

February 5, 1947 — June 11, 2024

Richard S Wahl died at home on June 11, 2024 after a 10 month battle with cancer, with his wife Pamula at his side. They were married December 17, 1987 in Janesville Wi. Richard was born February 5,1947 in Hazel Green, WI.  His  family moved to Blanchardville where he spent his school years. He was drafted in December 1966 into the U.S. Army where he trained as a truck driver and communications operation specialist while deployed to Vietnam. After returning to Wisconsin, he returned to Gisholt Manufacturing. He then went to work at Fairbanks Morse in Beloit WI. followed by 21 years at Beloit Corporation when they closed. Richard went to work at Uniroyal Naugahyde in Stoughton and went to school to acquire his Journeyman's card in Maintenance. Richard retired to enjoy the simple things in life: his wife and boys, and family. His son Daniel Wahl, Brodhead, two stepsons William VanKleeck, Indiana, Jason VanKleeck, Texas, Frank Wahl and wife Barbara, Mazomanie and Kathy Wahl of Fall River. Richard leaves behind many nieces and nephews who all meant so much to him. He also leaves behind four special friends: Bob, Dianna, Howard, and Faye. His closest cuddler, Bailee the Cat. Richard's bucket list was fulfilled with his motorcycle trips around the country with Pam, which included Sturgis, North Carolina, Florida, and Wyoming, a trip to New York, and a trip to Washington DC on the Honor Flight for veterans, which was taken on May 11,  2024 along with his brother Frank and stepson William. Richard also learned to master the skill of making lefse. But his most important, life changing accomplishment was in being a Friend of Bill for 43 years. Memorials may be made in Richard's name to Agrace Hospice or Badger Honor Flight.
