Broich, Robert "Bob"
Bob gave his entire family great joy for 93 years before departing on June 17, 2016, to join Paulette in heaven. Bob led a simple, hard-working life; not boring, but simple. What was important to him was wanting happiness for his family. Many men are strong, but very few have been able to mix the right amount of strength with an equal amount of gentleness. In doing so, you get a man you can admire, respect and look up to. This was Bob, our Dad. Loving and devoted father of Donn, Dick (Maria), Debi (Chuck), DeAnn; proud grandfather of Jennifer, Ryan (Angie), Luke (Jill), Rachel (Rick), Adam, Allison, Avery, Ben, Sarah, Jacob and Emily. Great grandfather of Ethan, Calista and a new little girl arriving in August. Also lovingly remembered by his little sister Marilyn "Toots" and sister-in-law Marian as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Bob was a WWII Veteran who served in the US Army. He will be missed by all of us, as he was always so happy when we visited. When leaving, his last words were "Thanks so much for coming".
Memorial gathering will held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel (7301 W. Nash) from 10:30 - 11:00. A Funeral Service honoring his life will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Our special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff of Harbour Village, dear family friend Margaret and the Allay Hospice staff.
