Roger Schaefer

Roger R. Schaefer Milwaukee- Found peace on January 6, 2021. at the age of 85. Son of the late Roland and Mabel Schaefer. Beloved husband of Rita Schaefer (nee Davis) of 56 years. Proud loving father of Douglas (Janet), Matthew (Kerstin), Tiffany (Adam) Hicks. Loving Ampa to Landreya (Malcolm), Miranda (Marcus), Tori and Danny. Caring great-ampa to Malyha, Lucian, Asriel, and Jyannalee. Step-Ampa to Abby, Corrie and DR. Further survived by his brother Donald (Diane) Schaefer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Roger loved hunting, golf, fishing, bowling, baseball, lifting weights, and handball. He enjoyed Sheepshead Tournaments, Blackjack, and all types of sports. His favorite place to be was the cabin in Northern Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM Funeral Service at the Schramka Funeral Home, Thiensville. Entombment to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association in Roger's name would be appreciated or also to the family. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Linden Grove Memory Care and his favorite nurse Anke, as well as Allay Hospice.
