Of Richfield. Passed away July 16, 2026, peacefully with family at his side after a long battle with cancer. He was born on April 1, 1948, to William and Alice (nee McAteer) Koepke. Beloved husband of Rosanne (nee Wagner). Dear father of Kerri (John) Hickey and Jodi (Phil) Sticha. Loving grandfather of Madeline and Colin Hickey, and Emma and Alice Sticha. Also survived by brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Grams, and brothers Michael, Timothy and William Jr. Koepke.
Ron served in the Vietnam War as a Sergeant in the US Army and he was a retired Lieutenant of the Milwaukee Police Department.
To those who knew him best, Ron enjoyed spending time up north at the cabin with his family, and a good bike ride enjoying the outdoors.
Above all else, Ron lived for his grandchildren, earning his favorite name/title of “grandpa”. From funny jokes to yearly traditions, he dedicated his life to being the best grandpa and their biggest supporter. He instilled family/values, faith, and good work ethic, leading by example.
Special thanks to Dr. Phan, Dr. Kilari and Dr. Dua, along with the staff on 5NW at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
Visitation Thursday, July 30, from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus, followed by a Funeral Mass at 4:00 PM. Private burial at St. Hubert Cemetery.
