Rosalind Plantikow

March 1, 1932 — November 21, 2020

Rosalind S. Plantikow Passed peacefully on November 21, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Levitt and the sister of the late Herbert Levitt. She was predeceased by John Plantikow, to whom she was married for forty years. Rosalind is survived by children Laurie (Harry) Rapkin, Jeffrey (Mandy) Weiss, Jill Weiss (Glenn Davis), Julie Plantikow Campbell, Thomas Plantikow. six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A dedicated English teacher, Rosalind taught at both the junior high and high school levels. She began teaching in Detroit, and spent the majority of her teaching career at John Burroughs Junior High School in Milwaukee where she developed lasting relationships with both students and staff. She continued her education and earned a master's degree while working full time and raising a family. Rosalind was a lifelong learner, always reading and sharing her knowledge. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at her cottage and gardening. She is lovingly remembered by family and friends. A private family service was held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Donations in Rosalind's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
