Rosemary Lane

(nee Heck) Passed away with much love on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2021, after suffering a stroke. She was born May 21, 1925, and married Patrick J. Lane in 1948. Married 42 years before Pat passed away from cancer in 1991. Together they had four children Ellen, Mike, Sue, and Steve. Preceded in death by her parents Hilary and Marie Heck, husband Patrick J. Lane, sister Bernice Rudnick, as well as brothers-in-law Joe Grimm, Larry Conatty, Martin Rudnick, Jerry Lane, and sisters-in-law Mary Jane Heck, Virginia Lane, and Joan Lane. Survived by her children Ellen (Bob) Weimer, Mike (Cynthia Wenstrom) Lane, Sue (Peter) Stemper, and Steve (Valerie) Lane. Also survived by her five grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Kristina, Travis, Tyler, Ian, and Bridget, and her great-granddaughter Emilia Rose (named after Rosemary), as well as her step-granddaughter Rebecca (Jesse) Huggins, and step great-grandchildren Billie, Gracie, Asher, Logan, and Jack. Rosemary is also survived by her sisters Corinne Conatty and Mary Kathleen Grimm, brother Bob (Janice Orum) Heck, and numerous nieces and nephews Besides her family, mom had three passions in her life...she loved to read, play Bridge, and watch Jeopardy. The family knew better than to call her between 6:00 and 6:30 pm every night. She also loved going up north, either family vacations to Little St. Germain Lake back in the day or more recently to Sue and Peter's cabin in Vilas County. Mom lived a long and full life and although COVID 19 was not the reason for her death, there is no doubt it had an impact on her lifestyle and well-being. We love her and will really, really miss her. Visitation Sunday, February 21, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Schramka-Borgwardt Funeral Home, 11030 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 pm. The service will also be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page, www.facebook.com/SchramkaFuneralHomes/, for those who do not feel comfortable gathering in a crowd. We know that there are many of you who want to be there for us and to support us but are torn by whether to attend. We don't want anyone to agonize over this and encourage you to view the ceremony online if you so desire.
