Sharon Nelson

In Loving Memory of Sharon L. Nelson Oct. 23, 1946 – Feb. 7, 2017. Born in Hartford, WI to Norris & Evelyn Nelson, Sharon was called to heaven on Tuesday, Feb. 7th 2017, in Milwaukee, WI, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was a child of God, a devoted mother, friend to many, lover of penguins, and a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. Sharon was a lifetime member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and recently retired from the State of Wisconsin – Unemployment Hearing Office. She is survived by her loving son Doug, grandsons Chris & Blake, niece Vicky, brother Ken (Mary Ellen), & nephew Will. She was preceded in death, by her dear parents, Norris & Evelyn Nelson. Viewing & funeral services will be performed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church (Rubicon, WI) on Sat. Feb. 11, 2017. Viewing will begin at 10 am, followed by funeral services at 12 pm. Celebration to follow… In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sharon's name to either Big Brother Big Sisters or Autism Speaks.
