Shirley Stich

October 29, 1929 — April 30, 2020

SHIRLEY ANN STICH (STOUT) Shirley was born to Delbert Stout and Erma Nagy on October 29, 1929. She passed away on April 30, 2020 at the age of 90. She attended Riverside High School and has 1 sister (Betty) and 2 brothers (Don and Delbert) who she was very close to. Shirley met her husband, Norb, after high school on a blind date and after a year of dating married in 1949 and had 5 children (Cathy, Paul, Theresa, Pat, and Jim). Her entire life revolved around her family. Her favorite activity was shopping and boy oh boy did she love to shop and what bargains she found especially at JCPenney (her favorite store). She loved to buy things for everyone else and barely for herself. How she kept track of all her 12 grandchildren's sizes was truly amazing. She was referred to as "The Queen" as she resembled Queen Elizabeth and was quiet but so resourceful. The other activity she loved was traveling and taking pictures. Shirley and Norb took many bus trips and traveled to Europe with their son Paul and his wife Debbie and to Germany with Pat and Kurt. Shirley was always a City Girl and had to make many journeys back to Milwaukee after retiring with her husband to Okauchee Lake. After her husband's death, Shirley moved into the Arboretum and lived there for the last 12 years. The family is so thankful for the care she was given there and would especially like to thank Sylvia for the extra special care she gave to our mom over the last few months, making phone calls to the family and always being there when the family could not be because of the Coronavirus. We would also like to thank Vitas Hospice for the care they gave our mom over the last 6 months and also special thanks to Dr. Stephanie Momper and her staff who gave our mom a lot of TLC. Shirley is survived by her children – Cathy Reese (Dan), Paul Stich (Debbie), Patti Kinateder (Kurt) and Jim Stich (Cathy). Her dearest daughter Theresa preceded her in death in 1997. Shirley also was the proud grandma to 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Due to the current pandemic, no public service is planned at this time but the family would ask you to remember Shirley in your prayers. A celebration of Shirley's life will take place at a later date. If desired, memorials in Shirley's name can be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, N74 W13604 Appleton Avenue, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 or make a donation to a religious or charitable organization of your choice. "A MOM'S LOVE IS AN UNSPOKEN PROMISE TO BE KIND, TO BE WISE AND TO BE THERE." Shirley was that and more. We will miss you Mom.
