Menomonee Falls

On January 4, 2026, Shirleyann Irene (Krause) Klemm, age 89, of Menomonee Falls, peacefully entered eternal life, surrounded by her loving family and receiving compassionate care from Dimensions Living in Oconomowoc and Agrace Hospice.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11:45 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 13445 Hampton Road, Brookfield, WI.

Shirley was born on December 16, 1936 to Merwin and Nellie (Poncek) Krause. She grew up in Westboro and graduated from Westboro High School with the Class of 1954. On May 18, 1957 she married the love of her life, Emery Klemm. Together, they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with four children.

Shirley worked as a piece worker at Briggs & Stratton for 30 years, retiring in 1997. Beyond her career, she found joy in tending to her flower garden, watching birds, and most of all, spending time with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Emery and her children Roger (Jane) Klemm, Janet Hosni, Mike (Sandy) Klemm and Sharon (Mike) Murphy. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Greg, Amy, Karen, Melissa, Katelynn, Thomas, Elise and Evan; as well as step-grandchildren Michael, Joshua, and Ryan; and great grandchildren Ruby, Emmelia, Callie, Reagan, Myla, Oliver and Jameson.

She is also survived by her siblings, Betty (Ronald) Brandner, Dwaine (Arla Jean) Krause, and DeNise Jung; sisters-in-law Midge Krause, Bea Klemm, June Klemm and Virginia Klemm; brother-in-law Edward Brandner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was welcomed into heaven by her parents, a brother Henry Krause, a sister Rosemary (Krause) Brandner, and a son-in-law, Ronald Hosni. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
