Laska, Sophie F.
of Fond du Lac, formerly of Menomonee Falls, passed away peacefully on October 17 at Woodlands Senior Park surrounded by her family. Sophie was born April 28, 1930 in Stevens Point, daughter of the late William and Martha (Trzinski) Niemczyk. During her life she worked at various restaurants in Menomonee Falls where she used her skills as an excellent cook. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at her cottage up north, making sure that her home looked great both inside and out, and doing puzzles. On May 14, 1949 she married Robert Laska. Survivors include her daughter Linda (Ralph) Hansen of Cedar Grove, sons Russell Laska of Sheboygan, and Philip (Karin) Laska of Fond du Lac. Eight grandchildren: Robert Anderson, Eric Anderson, Connie Richgruber, Jamie Langreck, Kyle Laska, Tyler, Matthew and Megan Laska, and several great grandchildren. One brother Sylvester (Bev) Niemczyk. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Lois Laska; sisters, Tina Pelot, Pearl King, and Susan Sadogierski; and brother, Chester Niemczyk. Her family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Woodlands Senior Park and also Agnesian Healthcare Hospice.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 22 at 11 am at St Anthony's Parish (N74W13604 Appleton Avenue, Menomonee Falls), visitation from 9 am until the time of service. Entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
