Of Glendale. Born to Life on November 9, 1954 to Gerald and Betty Bassler. Born to Eternal Life April 7. 2022. Beloved wife of Don Lyon. Susan was the director of Sonlight YMCA Day Care Center and previously spent over 30 years at Deerwood Center providing early child care development to hundreds of children.
Susan enjoyed camping, floating on her innertube on a warm summer day, and riding on her snowmobile. She loved to read and entertain by hosting holiday dinners, card games and Packer parties.
Susan never missed an opportunity to watch her children and grandchildren in their adventures whether it was sporting events, racing, dancing, and any and all hobbies. She was proud of all their accomplishments. There was nothing Sue loved more than sleepovers with her grandchildren. She cherished this time with her family.
Susan graduated from St. Anthony grade school in Menomonee Falls, Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, and Mount Mary College.
Susan became everyone's mother and grandmother, and she made everyone feel like part of the family. Sue will be deeply missed. She lived each day to the fullest but her life was just too short.
