Susan Miezin

January 12, 1950 — April 29, 2022

Susan Lynn Miezin passed away on April 29, 2022, after a year long battle with cancer. Devoted wife of Richard P. Miezin for 52 years. Susan was born January 12, 1950, in Milwaukee, WI to the late June and James Woppert. She leaves behind her caring and loving children: Leslie Marie Reed, the late Lisa Ann Miezin, and Richard James (Lisa) Miezin. She was blessed with two wonderful grandchildren: Collin Reed and Adelyn Miezin. Also survived by her loving sisters Sharon (Cindy) Schmidbauer and Julie (Nick) Thatcher, brother James (Michele) Woppert and brother-in-law Robert Miezin. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and her dog Oscar. Susan enjoyed years of working with the public because it allowed her the opportunity to share in people's lives and stories. In addition, she was a devoted donor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls for a compassionate end of life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/) or the Muscular Dystrophy Association (https://www.mda.org/) would be appreciated. Visitation Friday, May 20, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park - Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow.
