Wayne Dickmann

Wayne Edward Dickmann was born July 28, 1946, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Wayne passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the age of 74. Wayne was predeceased by his mother Delores Dickmann, his father Harold Dickmann, and his brother Kenny Dickmann. Wayne is survived by his brother Glenn, his sons Michael, Alex, and Greg, his daughter in law Sherie, his grandchildren Akira, Rylan, Kaden, and Ben, his nephews Kyle and Cory, and close special family friends Kit, Justin, and Jess. Wayne served for the USMC from 1965-1969 and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served honorably in the Marines, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. Wayne's experience in the Marines played a very important role in his life. He frequently pointed out that the Marines taught him the value of discipline, teamwork, and investing in a cause larger than himself. Wayne loved spending time with his grandchildren and lived with his son Michael, Sherie, Rylan and Kaden and enjoyed his 3 dogs, Kaners, Baxter, and Livvy. Wayne loved going up North to hunt and go fishing with Kit. Wayne loved music of all kinds and was a singer and a drummer throughout his life and played in a couple bands. The last time he played live was at his son Michael's wedding in 2008. Wayne spent his springs and summers watching his son Michael play softball and his grandson Rylan play baseball. He was most recently excited about becoming a great grandpa this coming October. Wayne will be forever missed. Wayne's Celebration of Life/Memorial Services will be on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Noon and held at The Veterans Center and Legacy Museum 820 Main St. Racine, WI 53403.
