Wilfred J. " Bill" Tennessen, 100, was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Preceded in death by his beloved Martha "Marcy", 3 brothers, Sylverius, Henry, and Joseph Tennessen and three sisters Anna Mae (the late Leo) Noll, Cyrilla (the late Francis "Red") Finch and Margaret "Mutz" Tennessen.
Bill is survived by his brother Anthony "Tony" (the late Joyce) Tennessen and two children James (Mary Beth) Tennessen and Donna (William) Rossi; four grand children Kelley (Brett) Rondeau, Kate (Scott) Renzoni, Allyson Massie, Kaylee Tennessen, one step grandson Jason Rossi and seven great grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Addison, Ethan, Reid, Charlie, and Piper. Bill is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born in Fussville, Wisconsin on September 8, 1920 to the late Henry Matthew and Helen Olivia (Reith) Tennessen. A lifelong resident of Menomonee Falls WI, he was educated in local schools. On October 23, 1948 he married his soulmate "Marcy" Sankey at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover Wisconsin.
A proud WWII veteran, Bill served in the 99th Company B Signal Battalion in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the VFW. Also he was a longtime member of St Anthony's parish.
Bill was a very humble and giving husband and father. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan, along with his passion for golf, fishing and playing sheepshead.
We are so thankful for his full time caregiver, Melisa Roman, we will be forever grateful for her love and caring for dad. We are also thankful for all the nurses and caregivers at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital.
