William Hansen

Hansen, William Harold "Bill" Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 16, 2016, age 88. Was born March 10, 1928 in Menomonie, WI. Devoted and beloved husband of 70 years of Maxine Mae Hansen (Yoder). Loving and devoted father of Cindy (Bernard) Scott, Kristine (Michael) Hansen-Clark, Julie Danielczyk, Cheryl Hengel, Thomas (Florence) Hansen. Adored grandfather of Kristine (David), Andrew (Nicole), Adriane, Katie (Daniel), Matthew, Phillip, Arthur, Grace and Abigail. Great-grandfather of Emily, Samuel, Madelynn, Desmond, Avery, and Scarlett. Preceded in death by his daughter Susan Hansen, mother Hulda Hansen, and siblings Richard Hansen and Jean Schneck. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill worked for Allis Chalmers for 35 years and Northern States Power for 5 years. He was a proud Union Steward for Local Union 248 for many years. After retirement Bill and Maxine resided in Brooksville, FL for 23 years where he played his beloved game of golf three days a week. Bill's greatest gifts in life were his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private visitation for family will be held. The family would like to send a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, chaplains and aides at Zilber Family Hospice for their compassion and care.
