William Pophal

September 28, 1929 — January 28, 2025

Of Hustisford. Found Peace on January 28, 2025, at the age of 95 years. Bill was born of September 28, 1929 to William A. and Hattie (nee Schmidt) in Merrill, WI. He lived on the family farm and attended St. Stephen UCC in Merrill. Bill married his wife of 50 years, Diane J. Neumann, on September 28, 1968. In 1973, they moved to Hustisford, WI. He worked at ITW in Hustisford until his retirement at the age of 80. He was a longtime member of St. Peter's Church in Lebanon. Bills favorite pastime was buying/selling cars and cleaning his car. He was very meticulous about his lawn and his riding lawn mower. Bill most enjoyed being with his daughter, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as they meant the world to him. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, parents and three sisters. Loving dad of Billie Jean (Craig) Stoll. Loving "papa" of Heather Becker, Amber Becker, Amanda Becker, Samantha (Joseph) Baasch and Stephanie (Lucas) Nehls. Cherished "old papa" of Matteo, Marcelo, Maleo and Melaine Nehls, and Brantley Henson. Fond brother of John (Barb) Pophal. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Private family services will be held.
