Bill is at peace after a long and courageous battle. He was a man of incredible strength, resilience, and heart—fighting through every challenge with determination and grace.
He was a devoted father, partner, and friend, whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to those around him. Bill’s strength was evident not only in how hard he fought, but in the quiet moments—his kindness, his humor, and the way he showed up for the people he loved.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Christina Hettinger and Autum Schneider; his son-in-law, David Hettinger; and his cherished grandchildren, Maddox Hettinger and Beckham Hettinger, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Though his passing leaves an immeasurable loss, there is peace in knowing his suffering has come to an end. His memory will remain a guiding light to all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on April 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at DJ’s Goalpost, N81 W15094 Appleton Avenue, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Bill’s honor to the American Diabetes Association.
Bill will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
